"A bright crimson red. For whatever reason, this is brighter, more fragrant and better overall than the more expensive Reserve from the same year. On the nose, there’s an attractive melange of mainly red fruits together with some freshly cracked black pepper and a little potpourri. Light to medium bodied, this fruit-driven wine has just the right amount of silky-smooth tannins and fresh acidity. A well-priced wine for the short to medium term."

"Displays the characters of a cool climate Shiraz, on the nose there are hints of black pepper and dried herbs to supplement the typical satsuma plum aromas. The medium bodied palate is seamlessly smooth yet with plenty of firm tannins and neat oak playing their roles. The black pepper emerges again on the finish. A nice alternative to the bigger styles of this variety."

"Plum, raspberry, a fair bit of pepper and spice, subtle floral notes, maybe some liquorice. It’s medium-bodied, a little meaty and truffle-laced, dry spices, some furry tannin grip, balanced acidity, some bitter dark chocolate on a finish of solid length, albeit a slightly drying one, but a good wine all up."

"Sweetly ripe and complex, the wine shows Black Doris plum, olive, cured meat and assorted nut aromas on the nose. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity with supple texture and finely balanced tannins, leading to a lengthy delectable finish. At its best: now to 2033."
